Chronomatryoshka

Written for my A Levels portfolio, Chronomatryoshka is a technique exercise that explores a sound mass with sections of varying textural densities.

This exercise uses the word "rondo" as a five-pitch motive, which is then arranged in a "rondo" sequenced, and is overall in a rondo with respect to it's textural density. A preface in a style of a formal mathematical proof is attached to the score, showing that "the entire exercise is a rondo within a rondo within a rondo, at different levels of generality" and is hence in a "(rondo)³" form.
